Pfister Bulk Transport has been presented with the Acuity Insurance Safety Award 2 years running 2018 and 2019. These awards are given to businesses that are exemplary in their partnership with Acuity to help ensure a safe workplace. Acuity has over 8,000 motor carrier accounts and gave this award to less than 3% of all carriers across the board, regardless of fleet size.
"Pfister Bulk Transport has always prided itself on maintaining an excellent record for transportation safety," said Mike Pfister, owner of Pfister Bulk Transport. "We're pleased to partner with an insurance company that identifies and celebrates motor carriers that work hard every day to ensure the safety of its employees, customers and motoring public."
Food safety and load integrity are incredibly important components of Pfister Bulk Transport and what we do.

Beyond dry bulk transport
We are very excited to recognize Joe Schmitt reaching 3 million safe miles in a 22 year span! Joe's career is almost 4 million driven. One of our many top-of-the line professional drivers. Millions of miles, and counting.
Pfister Bulk Transport is headquartered in New Holstein, Wisconsin and employs 75+ employees. Our drivers run everything from dedicated local to regional to long haul OTR and we travel to 48 contiguous United States and into all Canadian Provinces. We have a 4.7% driver turnover rate, 27% of our employees are veterans, and our average age driver is 52 with 24 years of experience.
"Pfister Bulk Transport has experienced a 63% growth in the last 3 years," said Dawn Johnston, Director of Operations. "With that type of growth we've also had some growing pains along the way, but we've weathered each day together working as a team. I am so proud of our drivers who are out beating the pavement day in and day out and our team at home supporting their every move. Mike Pfister has developed the secret sauce that other trucking companies desire to find. What we are doing is working and it's an exciting time to be working here together to make up the awesome company that Pfister Bulk Transport is."
"Pfister Bulk Transport's maintenance team maintains 60 trucks, 38 hopper bottom trailers and 35 pneumatic tank trailers. My team works hand in hand with our drivers every day to make sure they stay rolling and their equipment performs as it should,” said Shawn Vistain, Director of Maintenance. “The National Average Out of Service rate for motor carriers is 20.72%. However, with the support of our drivers and our qualified, dedicated maintenance team, Pfister Bulk Transport’s personal Out of Service percentage is zero 0%. I believe that is because of how safety, communication, and teamwork are driven down from the top and just one of the main reasons why we are prospering. We try to do everything the right way every time.”
